PRIMARY SCHOOL

Every year, the education system in Tanzania receives over 4,000,000 children from communities for primary school education. Due to the growing population, the Government of Tanzania alone cannot, by any means, afford to build and operate schools to accommodate all primary school pupils. Therefore, the establishments of numerous quality primary schools as well as education institutions managed by individuals, religious institutions and/or by Non-Government Organizations (NGO-s) have been in place since 1967 after the Arusha Declaration. Such educational institutions have helped the Government of Tanzania to significantly raise student enrolment rates who qualify for enrolment in primary education.
